FAQ

Why can’t I comment on your posts?

I do not allow comments on this site because it just invites people to post spam, misinformation, their medical histories, etc. and I do not feel like moderating them or having a privacy policy to deal with them. Nope, no thank you.

How do I contact you?

I do not allow people to e-mail me through this site. Again, I do not want to be held responsible for the privacy and security of whatever it is that you send me, and I do not have the energy to help everyone individually; remember, I have POTS too! What you see here is what you get.

I do not mind interacting with folks on Reddit, as that site has their own legal and privacy and moderation frameworks and tools for managing user interactions, but again, I do not have the energy to help everyone individually. If you need help, I suggest posting publicly to the r/POTS subreddit and let the crowd do its thing. If you think I might uniquely be able to help, drop me a link to your public post in chat. If I have the time and energy and I have something to add, I’ll add it.

If, on the other hand, you just want to drop in and say “Hey, this really helped me!” I love getting that kind of feedback.

Why haven’t you written about <insert topic here>?

If there’s something I haven’t written about, it’s either something I haven’t gotten around to, or it’s not a topic I wish to speak on. I focus on aspects of POTS that affect me and that I have experience or knowledge of, and also are hopefully helpful to a wide audience.
